DMMD Steam Patch Installation Guide

Patch Notes – Please Read

You will not be able to unlock Steam achievements or access save data from the Steam version after applying this patch. Please play the unaltered Steam version in order to unlock achievements. To re-enable achievements after applying this patch, please uninstall the game and delete the local files from your hard drive, then reinstall without applying the patch. Applying this patch will not cause you to lose achievements already unlocked. It may cause achievements to unlock unexpectedly, regardless of actions taken in game, even after uninstalling the patch.

To determine whether your game is currently patched, please check the Script Version displayed on the Config menu. If it reads "DRAMAtical Murder ver1.00", then the patch has been applied. If it reads "DRAMAtical Murder ver1.00S", then the patch has not been applied.

NORMAL INSTALLATION

1. In your Steam Library, right-click "DRAMAtical Murder" and select Properties. Navigate to the Local Files tab and select Browse Local Files to open the DRAMAtical Murder folder.
2. Copy the files "script.npk" and "system.npk" from the patch archive to the DRAMAtical Murder folder. Overwrite the existing files when prompted.
3. Copy the "patch" folder from the patch archive to the DRAMAtical Murder folder. When you're done, there should be a folder named "patch", containing the file "_base.npk", inside the DRAMAtical Murder folder.
4. Close the DRAMAtical Murder folder and start the game. The patch is now applied.

IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED A PREVIOUS VERSION OF THE PATCH:

Warning: This method is not recommended. The recommended method is to uninstall DRAMAtical Murder, delete the local folder, reinstall DRAMAtical Murder, and follow the steps outlined in "Normal Installation" above. Follow the steps below only if you would prefer not to uninstall DRAMAtical Murder first.

1. In your Steam Library, right-click "DRAMAtical Murder" and select Properties. Navigate to the Local Files tab and select Browse Local Files to open the DRAMAtical Murder folder.
2. Copy the files "script.npk" and "system.npk" from the new patch archive to the DRAMAtical Murder folder. Overwrite the existing files when prompted.
3. If there is a file named "_base.npk" in your DRAMAtical Murder folder, delete it.
4. Copy the "patch" folder from the patch archive to the DRAMAtical Murder folder. If there is already a folder named "patch" there, delete it first.
5. Close the DRAMAtical Murder folder and start the game. The patch should now be applied. If it has not been applied correctly, please uninstall DRAMAtical Murder, delete the local folder, reinstall, and follow the steps outlined in "Normal Installation" above.
