It's not uncommon for antivirus software systems (Norton, AVG, Kaspersky, McAfee, Avast, Avira) to make false positive detections of game software. This is usually caused as a result "machine learning heuristics" or "community reputation" style security measures that are not actual virus detections.

Some common false-positive errors are:

  • WS.Reputation.1 (Symantec)
  • SCGeneric1.IMO (AVG)
  • FileRepMalware (Avast)
  • Artemis! (McAfee)
  • Heur.AdvML.B (Norton)
  • W32/Malware!Gemini (F-Secure)

Software downloaded from our service is safe. Please either whitelist the software installer, or turn off your antivirus software during installation. Not doing so can create corrupted or incomplete installations that will not work correctly.
